The busy life of packing and driving has really taken a hit on our energy but we are back and I think almost recovered. We had wonderful travels with no issues, praise God. It was wonderful having the animals created this time so we didn't have any run offs or sudden surprises.

~House News~
Now that we are home I have been getting things together to start our big task of selling this house. This is going to be a very interesting event for us as we have no idea how the Lord will work it out. I think I am going to starting posting things online that we can sell to get them off our hands and not have to put the unnecessary in storage. We have lots of painting to do and a few upgrades as well.

~Baby News~
We are in our 22nd week. Olivia has got to be growing a lot right now because it feels like she is stretched from one end of me to the other. Tonight has been very difficult to get comfortable to get any kind of rest (yep that is why I am posting this past 1am.) This week when getting everything in order for our next appointment I had a stressful day. When I called our new insurance to make sure my midwife was covered they told me she wasn't and I would need to find a different Dr. that was In-Network. This brought on so much stress because I had no idea how I was going to find another Dr. that I liked. Thankfully where I go has a wonderful office staff and when I called almost in tears to cancel my appointment because I would be covered they asked what insurance I had and they informed me that I should be covered with them. So I called my insurance again and the lady confirmed that yes I could see my midwife and have the In-Network coverage. I am so relieved that I don't have to have a new Dr. Beverly is just so wonderful I can't imagine having anyone better.

~Victoria~
Our poor little girl has been sick and up at night because she can't breath. Today she really seamed to be doing better so I am hoping that once I can get to sleep I wont have to get up. She loves to help me out around the house but hates when she doesn't get to do what she wants, like play in cat liter, or write on the walls. I really am working hard to get this place comfortable for her. She has done really well adjusting to the house and schedule. Our new favorite thing to see her do is "this little piggy" Brads mom was doing that on her toes all the way across country and she just loved it. Well she loves it so much she wants to share the action and do it to you on your toes... completely skip roast beef and the piggy with none but gets so excited about wewe we all the wayyyyy HOME. I am going to start trying to potty training again soon. Does anyone have an advise? I know to have lots of carpet cleaner ready :)

Well I guess that is all for now. Maybe I will be asleep sometime soon.

We are having.....

A girl. Our appointment went really well and we found out right away that we would be having another girl. Olivia was asleep or at least resting when we first started the ultrasound, which was very uncomfortable for me having a full bladder. The tech was so wonderful, she got great measurements of her spine and brain while she was still and that was great because once she started moving she was all over the place. Rolling all around and just putting on a show for mommy and daddy, we laughed so many times. I got a bunch of great pictures and they even surprised me with a 3D portion which just made me all teary eyed.

Health wise baby is doing great weighing in at around 8oz. I no longer have complete placenta previa as it has moved a whole inch above my cervix. She was not able to get a full exam of the heart because Olivia wouldn't stay still and she is a little small. She said that we might have to come into the office again to get another scan of her heart just to make sure they don't miss anything.

I feel so dumb but I wasn't really sure what my EDD was as they changed it so many times. Thankfully I asked because I thought that I was due the 7th and really they have the 17th. She is measuring in the middle of the two dates so we will see what happens in December. I will have to post pictures later, we need to hook up the scanner again.

Victoria loves to sign Beethoven's 9th to Olivia and give hugs and kisses to her little sister. She is going to be a very loving big sister

We have an other ultrasound picture this time from the ER... long story short , mom, and baby are okay with a clean bill of health. I had some bleeding from my placenta on Saturday morning that will continue off and on throughout the pregnancy at this point. This is just something we need to keep an eye on to make sure that the baby is getting enough blood flow and growing as he/she should be. Our next appointment is on Thursday, today marks 16 weeks. While the tech did all her investigations she tried very hard to see the gender but didn't have much luck, he/she was just all over the place.

If you look good (I had a hard time scanning it in) you can see a hand and the face very well. It is amazing on the ultra sound we can see the nose, lips and everything. We are just so blessed and praise the Lord that he/she is doing great!

Trip to Portland Zoo

Currently at Portland Zoo the star is Samudra a baby elephant born at the Oregon zoo this past fall and boy his he a cutie.

I couldn't believe the nails that this sun bear has, can you imagine getting a back scratch from him?

Of all the animals at the zoo Victoria's favorite seams to be the ducks, I have to say this mallard is very handsome.

Victoria got her zoo keepers key that she can go to different stations around the grounds and learn all about the animals in the exhibits. I love that she wanted to not only listen to everyone, but had to stay until the presentation was finished.

They had two Bold Eagles at the zoo and I love the way they built this exhibit for them to really live like they would in the wild. There is live fish for them to catch and you can sometimes catch them diving in for dinner. How awesome is that?

HA HA we got a kick out of this bear just relaxing in a tractor tire. Victoria was all excited that she knew he was sitting, even though people next to us thought she said something else. I busted out laughing because either way she could have been right.

It has been a while....

It has it has been some time since my last post and I thought I would give a little update on how things are going.

The month of April we found out that we are blessed to be adding to our family. Victoria has been super excited that she will be a big sister in December, everything is about babies now. We had our first appointment at the end of April and this is our little gummy-bear at between 7 and 8 weeks.

Our next appointment will be June 25th and we should get to schedule our

ultrasound for July to find out if we are having a boy or girl. With this pregnancy I

have a posterior placenta that has prevented us from hearing the babies heartbeat at our

last appointment in May, but we get to see our little one instead. When the Dr. checked

for the heartbeat using the ultrasound it was so amazing to see the baby at this stage.

With Victoria we only got to see her at around 8 weeks and when we found out we would

be having a girl, she just looked like a little peanut. With this baby our last ultrasound at

12 weeks he/she looked like a little gummy-bear so we have the nicknames peanut for

Victoria and gummy-bear for baby #2.

Victoria has been having lots of fun at the house coloring, working on her Abc's and

being a toddler. We have started potty training, it is an interesting process but we are

doing well. It sure would be wonderful if by December she was out of diapers. She knows

all of her colors with yellow being her favorite. Now that she is talking so much more and

understanding just as much there is more for us to do. Her love and excitement for

animals and new objects is just so fun to see. It has also come to my attention that she is a very

sappy girl with a soft heart, the poor girls heart gets broke so easy. She has defiantly won both

Papa and Mama's hearts and melts it everyday with her kisses and hugs. She has a new love

for camping that all started in the house with her first indoor fort, it was lots of fun.

This Picture has trouble written all over it and sure enough what to follow was destruction...
As you can imagine she had a melt down when the fort came falling to the ground after being attacked by king kong.

Beacon Rock State Park

Park overview:

Beacon Rock State Park is a 4,650-acre year-round camping park with historic significance dating back hundreds of years. The park includes 9,500 feet of freshwater shoreline on the Columbia River.

We went up to Beacon Rock on Saturday for the first time... What a beautiful park this is. Not only a

re you so high up that you get amazing views but you are in this area with waterfalls that just flow so peacefully over the ground.

The sun is showing

Victoria and I have been up just waiting for the sun to show this morning so we could go on a walk. The big bright yellow circle has finally decided to show but it is still chilly so we will wait just a little longer. While we wait I am going to work on some Easter pictures, and Victoria is going to finish coloring Rocket.

Fun at the Fair

We found a little fair/carnival in Washington. It was such a wonderful time and of course Victoria just loved the roller coaster. Looks like as she gets older we will be getting amusement park passes because she just had a blast.

It was a wonderful to go out and have a little family time doing something completely new with Victoria. She is getting more and more personality as the hours go by and just brings so much life to the day.

Our little girl is not so little anymore. She is now 3 feet tall, and 23lbs. Her new sentence is "NO it's MINE." We have a few pictures from her B-Day party and will post the remaining ones on the webpage.

So the weather has been so weird the past two days. I am not sure I have seen anything like this before. Yesterday while we went to the store we heard it just pouring and then heard thunder. Once we got to the doors to go back to the car it was a white-out... as in snow.

Today has been the same no thunder but just changing so quick. With Victoria still being sick we don't have to worry about playing in the wet snow/slush, all she wants to do is lay around.

WAKE UP CALL

Do you ever have those mornings where you wish the wake up call didn't come in the fashion that it did. Let me tell you this morning was one of them for me.

We have the military fly over us almost everyday, well not just flying over us but taking off over us. Normally it is no big deal, even this morning they had gone two or three times and all was fine. I actually like watching them fly over, and the noise isn't all that loud, NORMALLY.

For some reason they decided that it was time to get me out of bed even if it meant giving me a heart attack. For some reason all of a sudden they just opened all the way right over the house. My heart stopped, I know they where trying to make me nearly pee the bed, luckily I didn't.

So now that I have recovered from my morning wake up call I think I will plan activities for the day.

Victoria is still sick:

There is a cold going around the church and it seams that Victoria has caught it. She has a wicked cough that is driving her crazy. It will be more of a crafty sit down day, maybe if it is warm enough we will go on a walk.

While gardening off in the distance there was a breath taking rainbow just filling the sky with color. I had never seen so many rainbows until we moved here.

Spring is in the air

Monday will now be library/park day. We went to continue our search for a good story-time and have found one. Being that we where so early and the library was still closed we went on a little walk to a park nearby. With the rain everything but the swings where wet but that was enough to get Victoria hooked.

With yesterday being such a beautiful day we decided that the gardens would like a nice makeover. It was so much fun to be back in the garden, and Victoria was a super big help with her little rake.

Today I think we might tackle the back yard, I have no idea what flowers are growing back there. Chelsea found a daffodil and brought it inside so we stuck it back into a inside pot. Victoria loves watering the sad little plant.

Bye Bye NEMO

It is time for Nemo to go on vacation. All Victoria wants to do is watch Nemo she could watch it 100times and still not have enough. I know that it is our faults as parents for giving in so many times but we are done. Nemo is being sent on a vacation and she will just have to say bye. I am sure it will increase the terrible two fits that she is starting but we need to get some control back and I think Nemo is where we start.

Terrible two's

Seriously I think that terrible understates the situation. I have had cups of milk and water thrown at me. Been charged at by a screaming toddler and all because of this terrible two stage... I must have done something some wrong to get this child so angry with me. Not to mention the loss of ears, I swear she doesn't hear one word I say unless it is Nemo or Juice. Some days are great but the bad ones are just over the top, and they say it gets worse before it gets better... well then I am just going to have to run away.

In all honesty it is not to bad just takes a lot more time to get things done with a lot more patients. I am sure the neighbors hear her screaming at me and think that she is being hurt. She just likes to scream, I wish I knew how to calm her down and keep her happier with out spoiling her and giving in to her demands.

The holidays have put me behind but here we go...

This year is has been hard to keep track of the time, can you believe Christmas as already here? We have not had this chance of a white Christmas in years. Here we are in Portland Or where people say it never snows but we have so much snow that roads are closed. Tonight the remaining family members will be arriving and we are so blessed for everyone's safe travels. Tomorrow will be such a wonderful time to fellowship and remember the birth of our Savior.

Winter wonderland

So I guess we have some updating to do, we start with the first playtime in the snow. Victoria and I just had to go and play in the snow it melts so fast that you don't get much time to enjoy it.

Here we start our walk around the neighborhood in what we figure will the the most snow Portland will see.

Victoria decides after much hesitation to try picking up the white invading snow.

I love her smile here I am so glad that she has so much fun. Sure makes a cold day nice and warm!

Well today has been a very uneventful day. Victoria and I chased each other around the house until she was laughing so hard she got silly and started falling over... yep that means she about to crash. We made up some yummy sandwiches, and while I was enjoying eating Victoria was enjoying sleeping with her food in hand. I guess nap time comes early when the weather is cold and snowy. Sure sounds like a good idea to me, so off to nap with my snow-angel.

Like I said uneventful day.

Today Victoria and I finished our Christmas craft for her to decorate the tree... it was a blast.

Color Color Color

Today Victoria has really been using her words. Usually it is pointing and well whining, but not the past few days.

One of her favorite movies is Finding Nemo, well now when she wants to watch it she will turn the TV on go sit on the couch and say "memo" lol.

This morning she kept pointing to the DVD player so I picked her up and let her pick what movie we would put in. Much to my surprise she pointed to the crayons and said "color color color." Never has she even tried to say or express coloring using words. So we colored the letter "J" today and talked about Jellyfish.

Brad and I have really been working hard on getting her to express her feelings wants and needs using words, not by screaming and whining. It feels wonderful that she is really starting to use her words to communicate with us.

Now if she would just tell us when she needs to use the potty!! HA HA Dreaming I know.

Grand Opening

Here we start on our Day to Day journal. Being able to keep family and friends up to date that we have moved away from has been a little hard with the time difference so we figured this would be a great time start to Our Journal.
